  • I received excellent service from ITEC Ltd when my laptop 'died' on me. They came out the same day to have a look at it and took it away to be fixed within 24 hours. My Hard Disk had all but 'died' but they recovered my data and installed a Solid State Disk (SSD) drive as replacement - The SSD greatly improved the speed and performance.   • An International traveller, I've used ‘‘ITEC Business Solutions'' for some time now. Moving between Birmingham and Belfast a functioning laptop is critical for my business and for keeping in touch with home. With this in mind I paid for special "insurance" with the UK's Largest retailer; PC W***D. I trusted their advertising "blurb". When I had problems naturally I went straight to them. Two days later I picked up my laptop supposedly "fixed" - No difference, exactly the same, the problem was still there. Having paid good money for insurance I went back for a second time. Days later I returned. I was assured "the level of performance is normal for your computer" and that I really should purchase a new computer if I needed something faster. Frustrated? You could say that. I started to question my sanity and judgement - but then, I knew my laptop, it was just over 12 months old and I was not going to be fobbed off. The real problem had not been located, so how were they going to fix it? Samina Alam - Birmingham.

  • A Sussex based colleague told me about ITEC, after hesitating for a moment, I couriered my laptop. On the third day it was back, "resurrected" you might say, to my relief working better than ever. I felt my sanity had been restored. They explained "the hard disk was failing, not catastrophically, but as each day went by, more and more read-errors were being made and had to be corrected by the drive's on board firmware" hence the slow but sure degradation in performance. Eventually it would have failed, and I guess took all my data with it! Now, I'm no "tekkie" but it made sense to me, and I was glad to have an explanation in plain English. P.   • Needless to say I cancelled my "insurance" and direct debit to PC W***D and haven't looked back . In any field it's good to find experts who truly know what they are doing. I wouldn’t dream of making a computing move without referring to ITEC. Fairly priced, straightforward dealing. I use their "Remote Diagnostics Service" every few months to optimise my laptop's performance. There is a significant difference between ITEC and the rest. See for yourself. S. A.   • I would like to say a big thank you to ITEC who rescued me from disaster. After giving a "rogue caller" control of my PC (A VERY BIG MISTAKE) never to be repeated again, I was locked out of my own PC, my profile deleted, and all data & email lost - 15 years of files all gone. Totally distraught, I called ITEC that afternoon and within three hours they attended on site, all essential data was recovered.
